Easter In Italy

 

When I just turned 25 years I had just given up my full-time status at my job, which meant that I had to forgo my benefits such as pension and health insurance.  Despite losing these important benefits that most Americans fight for, I realized that I had the freedom to do and pursue anything I want, which was the blessing in disguise.

I came across a cheap plane ticket to Milan, Italy during the upcoming Easter week I knew I could not pass up. I looked into Italy a little closer and learned how easy it is to travel around the country by train.  After contacting a couple of my friends to go on this trip, none of my friends could get the time off or had the funds to accompany me on this trip.  Like past times, I’d plan my trips around everyone’s schedule, but I was through with waiting up for anyone.  This time I was going regardless if I was by myself or not.   Despite my fear of traveling alone at that time, I realized how lucky I was to have this opportunity and I couldn’t let it pass up.  I’ve worked to hard and have come too far for these opportunities to pass them up.
